Police have identified the pedestrian who died after a north Phoenix collision that happened early Saturday morning.

PHOENIX — Police have identified the pedestrian who died after a north Phoenix collision that happened early Saturday morning.
The man was identified as 32-year-old Othneil Lewis.
Details on the north Phoenix collision
The collision happened just after midnight near the area of 17th and Dunlap avenues, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
When officers arrived on the scene they found Lewis with critical injuries.
Phoenix Fire took Lewis to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Preliminary information from the investigation suggested the Lewis was lying down in the roadway when he was struck by the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle did stay on scene. Police said that impairment is not believed to be a factor with the driver.
No other information was provided.
