Arizona state senator claims bloody glove left on her porch

PHOENIX — An Arizona state senator claimed on Facebook on Thursday that someone had left a bloody glove on her porch and broke into her office.
In the post, Democratic Sen. Catherine Miranda implied the same person was possibly behind all of the acts.
“When a crazy person breaks into my Senate office, changes [my assistant’s] password on her computer and leaves a bloody glove on my porch (yes this happened) you have to wonder who is really running scared?”
Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr said the agency is looking into Miranda’s claims but had no other information to share.
Miranda also alluded to the possibility that the actions were attempts to deter her from running for office again.
“I have a plate of options to choose from including four years in the Senate,” she wrote.
Miranda, an Arizona native who attended East High School in Phoenix and both Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University, was elected to the state Senate in 2014. She represents District 27.
She had previously served in the state House of Representatives.
She began her career as a teacher.
