SAFE Alert canceled after missing 13-year-old boy from Phoenix found safely

Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Friday evening after a missing 13-year-old boy from Phoenix was located safely.

Kaleb Wyble was found by a citizen who recognized him from the alert, and was in the process of being reunited with his family, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

When the alert was issued, Wyble was last seen Thursday near 19th Avenue and Evans Drive, between Greenway and Thunderbird roads.

He is described as 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 190 pounds with red/auburn hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black tank top with a graphic of a female, gray shorts and black Nike shoes when last seen.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
