Second man identified in border agent’s killing

Jan 31, 2012, 1:16 PM

PHOENIX (AP) – Unsealed federal court records identify a second man in the December 2010 killing of Arizona Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry near Naco.

The U.S. District Court documents identify him as 41-year-old Rito Osorio-Arellanes, who is believed to be the brother of the only previously named defendant, Manuel Osorio-Arellanes. A third man has not been identified in public records because he hasn’t been caught.

The Arizona Republic (

Terry’s killing drew additional attention when two guns found at the scene were connected to a botched federal operation known as Fast and Furious in which illegally obtained weapons were allowed across the border into Mexico.
