PHOENIX — A 17-year-old boy listed as a runaway was found dead in an apparent fall at Independence High School in Glendale on Monday morning, authorities said.
The body of the teen, who was reported missing Sunday evening, was found by a sanitation worker just before 7 a.m., the Glendale Police Department said in a press release.
Investigators believe the teen was on top of the press box and fell to the ground, authorities said, and it is unknown whether the fall was accidental or on purpose.
There was no indication of foul play.
The boy wasn’t a student at Independence High School and operations on campus weren’t affected because of the incident. No students or faculty came in contact with the body.
The name of the teen has yet to be released.
No other information was immediately available.
