PHOENIX — A crash on Interstate 17 in northern Arizona early Friday left behind a “hoppy” mess when a big rig carrying beer crashed into a guard rail.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said volunteers would not be necessary to help clear the crash about 20 miles south of Flagstaff.

“We know you’d all love to help, but the crew isn’t asking for volunteers. Sorry,” the department said in a tweet.

No one was injured in the crash on the southbound lanes, but traffic was getting by on the shoulder.

The department warned drivers to slow down and approach the area with caution while crews continued to work.
