MCSO: Baseball and softball instructor arrested for sexual abuse of minors
A baseball and softball instructor was arrested in Waddell on Friday after being accused of sexually assaulting underage children he was coaching.
PHOENIX — A baseball and softball instructor was arrested in Waddell on Friday after being accused of sexually assaulting underage children he was coaching.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, 42-year-old Jack “Buck” Thomas had an outstanding felony arrest warrant out of California for multiple crimes of a sexual nature against children under the age of 18.
Both the MCSO and the West Sacramento Police Department served Thomas the warrant in Waddell.
According to WSPD, at least one female victim was sexually assaulted within the jurisdiction of MSCO after traveling to Arizona for softball training.
Both agencies believe there may be additional victims within Maricopa County who have yet to come forward.
Thomas was booked on eight charges of sexual assault with a minor and three burglary charges. His extradition to California is pending.
