PHOENIX — A national medical marijuana dispensary based in Tempe is merging with a marijuana cultivator, the Phoenix Business Journal reports.

The publication’s Angela Gonzales reported that Harvest — the Tempe-based company — has merged with a supplier called Modern Flower. The article states that they have eight medical marijuana dispensary licenses and three cultivation operations between them in Arizona.

The merger is expected to add about 200 jobs to Arizona.

“The merger will bring six additional Arizona dispensary licenses to Harvest, as well as an 18,000-square-foot cultivation facility in Cottonwood, Arizona,” the Journal stated.

There are also plans to open new dispensaries in Arizona, including one at Baseline Road and the I-10.
