President Donald Trump calls Maricopa County 'very, very dishonest' due to premature mailed ballots

"Maricopa just sent out thousands of ballots in error. Maricopa County in Arizona, and... they have to be ashamed of themselves." President Trump reacted to the news of the more than 3,000 early ballots sent out a week early in Maricopa County. He made the remarks before he headed to a campaign event in Nebraska when a reporter asked for the President's comments.

On Sunday, the Maricopa County Recorder's office announced the 3,123 prematured mailed ballots were due to a vendor error. MCRO confirms the ballots are correct and were sent to the right addresses by Runbeck Election Services.

Any of these early ballots that are mailed back in before early voting officially begins this Wednesday, will be securely stored until normal processing and tabulation begins, according to MCRO.
