Arizona Task Force 1 gather with local youth leaders to commemorate 9/11
25 years after the 9/11 attacks, Phoenix brought together first responders from "Arizona Task Force 1" who deployed to ground zero with local youth leaders. Phoenix Fire Chief Mike Duran told the crowd "never forget" means educating future generations, and future first responders, about the events that unfolded on the tragic day.
Valeria Venzor, a student at Phoenix College Preparatory Academy, said it's on her generation to keep asking questions and make sure these lived experiences live on with history. Former Phoenix Deputy Chief Bryan Tobin left the young audience with a simple message: "We just need to do a better job of loving one another."
