PHOENIX — People can support their favorite restaurant and drink spot by nominating them for the Arizona Restaurant Association’s annual Foodist Awards.
Nominations are being accepted online through Feb. 21 for categories in food, beverage, restaurants and people, according to a press release.
Among the awards people can vote for are outstanding signature dish, world-class dessert, exceptional happy hour, the state’s top brewery, emerging restaurant of the year and top chef.
“The Foodist Awards strive to shine a spotlight on the incredible food scene in Arizona and the people that are working tirelessly every day to create it,” Arizona Restaurant Association President and CEO Steve Chucri said in the release.
“As part of our advocacy efforts to support the state’s hospitality industry, we could not be more pleased to bring this signature, industry event back. We invite voters to make their opinions heard in support of the industry and their favorite restaurants.”
The winners will be announced during a ceremony at Republic National Distributing Company’s 7th and Union event space on June 2 at 5:30 p.m.
The Foodist Awards is returning after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant association said.
