PHOENIX – Attention West Valley shoppers: Metro Phoenix home furnishings retailer Potato Barn is planning to open its fourth location, and first on the west side, in Goodyear.

The 100,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in late 2022 or early 2023 on the southwest corner of McDowell Road and Pebble Creek Parkway, just north of Interstate 10.

In addition to a retail store, the site will include furniture assembly operations and a warehouse.

Potato Barn offers an eclectic selection of furniture, art, rugs and other home furnishings from around the world, with inventory that changes regularly.

The family-owned business launched in 2002 out of a Gilbert barn originally built in 1966 to store potatoes near a railroad line.

The Goodyear store will join existing Potato Barns in Mesa, Chandler and Scottsdale.
