Scottsdale police arrest man for allegedly trying to lure teen into paid sex act

PHOENIX — A 26-year-old man was arrested in Scottsdale Wednesday for allegedly trying to pay a 16-year-old girl to perform a sex act, authorities said.
Andres Arvayo faces multiple charges that include child sex trafficking, attempted sexual misconduct with a minor and attempted money laundering, the Scottsdale Police Department said in a tweet.
Through text messages, Arvayo planned to meet the teen in a parking lot, walk her to her apartment and pay her to perform the act, authorities said.
Police said during the same conversation, Arvayo sent two pornographic pictures.
He was confronted by Scottsdale Human Exploitation and Trafficking detectives upon his arrival in the parking lot.
