Canopy by Hilton to open hotel in Old Town Scottsdale in September
PHOENIX — A hotel chain is preparing to open a new property in Old Town Scottsdale later this year.
Canopy By Hilton will open on the northeast corner of First Street and Marshall Way in late September, according to a press release Wednesday.
The 177-room hotel will feature a rooftop pool and bar, two restaurants and about 2,000 square feet of meeting space.
The seven-story property will also feature artwork from local artists.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the expansion of the city’s historic arts district and offer a new hotel experience that gives locals and travelers a new destination to work, rest and play within Scottsdale,” Devin Mahoney, the hotel’s general manager, said in the release.
Some services will be limited or not available upon the hotel’s opening because of the continued coronavirus outbreak.
Because the property falls under the Hilton umbrella, the hotel chain will also be instilling its CleanStay procedures for cleanliness and disinfection.
Canopy by Hilton opened a Tempe hotel in June and currently has 15 properties open across the globe.
