3 boys who left Mesa school together after classes found safe

PHOENIX – Police in Mesa said three boys, one with a health issue, who left school Tuesday afternoon were found safe on Wednesday.

Daniel Frederick and Clifford Ray III, both 11, and Kevin Stifanos left Whittier Elementary at Rio Salado Parkway and Longmore around 2 p.m. Authorities considered them runaways.

Mesa police didn’t immediately offer additional information about the boys.

Clifford, who was wearing a black and blue shirt that has a Spitfire logo and camouflage pants, is 5 feet tall and weighs 145 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Police said he has asthma but didn’t bring his inhaler.

Daniel is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a red jacket and blue shorts and wearing gray shoes.

Kevin is 5 feet, 3 inches and weighs 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing a long sleeve black and white shirt, gray jeans and black shoes.
