Man critically injured after being shot, crashing car into an Avondale home

A man who was shot before crashing his car into an Avondale home Friday night was left in critical condition, ABC15 reported.

A woman living at the home was hospitalized with injuries she suffered in the incident, and her condition is stable.

Police received a call about the shooting and crash near Avondale Boulevard and Van Buren Street around 9 p.m.

There was a “group of people” believed to be responsible for the shooting, but they fled the area and have not been found, according to investigators.

Shots fired hit a home in the area, though there were no other reported injuries.
