Phoenix man accused of fatally stabbing mother after argument

PHOENIX – A Phoenix man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly stabbing his mother to death after an argument about the family dog, authorities said.
Terry Driescher Jr., 47, is accused of killing 68-year-old Constance Driescher on Saturday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. in the driveway of their home near 40th Street and Thunderbird Road.
Before being taken to the hospital, where she died of her wounds, the victim told police her son stabbed her after a verbal argument concerning their dog.
Police didn’t provide additional details about the argument.
Officers arrested the suspect after serving a search warrant on the home.
Driescher Jr. was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on a first-degree murder charge.
