Snow more waiting: Arizona ski resorts open this weekend

PHOENIX — Get out your skis and snowboards. It’s time for the winter sports season in Arizona.
Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff opens Friday, six days later than last year. Sunrise Park Resort in Greer opens the following day.
Single-day prices for Snowbowl vary by day and start at $39, while season passes range from $29 to $849.
For Sunrise Park, single-day passes range from $30 to $74, depending on age. Discounted season passes from $51.80 to $559 are available through Friday.

Snow started falling up north Wednesday, helping Snowbowl reach a total of 19 inches.
Sunrise Park, about 150 miles northeast of Phoenix, also got snow. The resort reported 20 inches on the ground Thursday morning.
More snow is expected through Friday.
