Arizona USPS offices to host passport fair on Saturday

PHOENIX — Arizonans looking to grab a passport or passport card will have a special opportunity to do so this weekend.
More than 40 U.S. Postal Offices across Arizona are participating in a passport fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a press release.
No appointment is needed, but customers will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
New passport applications will be accepted, but renewals will not be processed at the event.
“Our employees will help residents with passport applications, fees and photos, making the process quick and convenient,” Acting Phoenix Postmaster Tina Sweeney said in the release.
A passport book costs $145 for people aged 16 years and older and $115 for those under 16. Those prices drop to $65 and $50, respectively, for a passport card.
Those submitting an application need to provide two forms of identification, such as a previous passport, birth certificate or driver’s license.
Applicants are encouraged to print and complete their applications ahead of time to shorten the process.
