$1 million lottery ticket sold at north Phoenix gas station

PHOENIX — A $1 million lottery ticket was sold this weekend at a north Phoenix gas station, officials said Monday.

The Pick jackpot ticket was sold at the Circle K at 1440 W. Bell Road. The winning numbers were 9, 14, 38, 40, 41 and 44.

Arizona Lottery officials said this was second the jackpot ticket sold in four days. According to the organization’s Twitter, a $3.1 million jackpot ticket was sold in Scottsdale last week.

The lottery game costs $1 to play, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 7,059,052.

The winner has the choice of taking an annuity prize option, meaning he or she would be paid $33,333.33 per year for 30 years, or taking a cash prize for about $500,000.

Officials also said a $223,000 Fantasy 5 ticket was sold Friday at the Fry’s Fuel Center at 3620 E. Ray Road in Phoenix.

According to the Arizona lottery website, the $3.1 million and $223,000 prizes have yet to be claimed. A jackpot ticket sold in June is also still unclaimed.
