Grand Canyon National Park launches free mobile app
PHOENIX — A new app has launched that will let Grand Canyon visitors have more accessible mobile information about the national park.
The NPS Grand Canyon app gives users information similar to the park website and allows visitors to plan a tour of the 100-year-old national park, according to a press release.
The app’s home page features park information such as tours, lodging, camping and hiking.
An interactive map of the park is also available and shows hiking trails, ranger stations, restrooms, restaurants and more.
Because of the park’s limited cell service and Wi-Fi locations, most of the app’s content will be available offline.
The app is available for download on iPhone and Android devices.
It was developed in partnership with the National Park Service’s Harpers Ferry Office and the Grand Canyon Conservancy.
