‘Kill Bill’ rates as Arizona’s favorite Quentin Tarantino movie

PHOENIX — Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film as a director, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was released in late July to the rejoice of Tarantino fans throughout the country.
His first film, “Reservoir Dogs” was released in 1992 and established the director as an icon in the film industry with a unique and rabid following, despite a lack of quantity in his production.
The narrow library helped the website CableTV.com to track down which Tarantino flick was most popular in each state. “Kill Bill” took the title in Arizona and for purposes of the survey, it was combined to include both Volume 1 and Volume 2.
Other states that enjoyed “Kill Bill” as their top Tarantino film included California, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee and Texas.
The film had the third-most states favor it compared to his other eight flicks, and it came in just behind “Pulp Fiction” and “Jackie Brown.”
As for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” the film debuted at No. 2 in North America behind only “The Lion King.” It cashed in for $41 million on opening week, making it the best debut of Tarantino’s previous releases.
