Phoenix-based company behind Postino’s, Joyride to go national

PHOENIX — Fans of a Phoenix-based restaurant could soon be able to get a bite to eat outside of the Valley.

According to The Phoenix Business Journal, the restaurant group behind Postino WineCafe is looking to soon expand nationwide.

The Phoenix-based Upward Projects has reportedly obtained financial support from Brentwood Associates, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm.

The publication was not able to obtain the terms of the deal, but reported that two of Upward’s founders said it would “allow them to expand Postino into new markets and new cool locations.”

There are currently six Postino WineCafe locations in the Valley and the company also owns the two Joyride Taco House locations in Phoenix and Gilbert and Windsor and Federal Pizza, both of which are in Phoenix.

There is also a Postino WineCafe location in Denver and one that will soon open in Houston.
