In light of the release of the highly anticipated film “The Dark Knight Rises,” we thought we would take a look back at the actors who have played a villain in a Batman film over the years.

For simplicity, we didn’t include any television Batman actors, nor any from commercials or animated series. We stuck with Hollywood productions.
