Eastbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway closing for widening work
The Eastbound Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway shuts down between 51st Avenue and Interstate 17 in the northwest Valley starting at 10 p.m. Friday as crews continue widening the roadway.
On-ramps at 75th, 67th and 59th avenues will close, along with the “Texas U-Turn” on-ramp near Union Hills Drive.
ADOT flagged Bell Road or Union Hills Drive as workaround routes.
Westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway closing for widening work
A similar closure, westbound Loop 202 Santan Freeway shuts down between Lindsay and McQueen roads in the southeast Valley starting at 10 p.m. Friday for a widening project.
On-ramps at Williams Field Road, Santan Village Parkway and Val Vista Drive will also close.
Williams Field, Pecos or Germann roads are available as westbound detours. Westbound US 60 Superstition Freeway is another alternative route.
Southbound SR 51 narrowing to 2 lanes continues
Crews will narrow both the north and southbound lanes on SR 51 to two lanes.
On the southbound side, the work is being done between Bethany Home and Indian School roads starting at 9 p.m. Friday. They’re continuing their pavement improvement project.
The on-ramp at Highland Avenue and the off-ramp at Indian School Road will close.
If you’re heading to downtown Phoenix, ADOT said I-17 is the best alternative route.
On the northbound side, the work continues around the clock near Camelback Road for pavement replacement work.
Consider using northbound I-17 in that direction as well.
Northbound Loop 101 ramp to westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway closing
The northbound Loop 101 Price Freeway ramp to westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain Freeway on the border of Tempe and Mesa shuts down starting at 8 p.m. Friday for a pavement improvement project.
ADOT recommends using westbound McKellips Road to southbound McClintock Drive to connect with westbound Loop 202.
SR 347 narrowing to 1 lane near city of Maricopa
SR 347 narrows to one lane in both directions between Casa Blanca Road and Mammoth Way north of the city of Maricopa starting at 8 p.m. Friday for paving.
Drivers should allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching the work zone.
