Northbound Interstate 17 reopens north of Black Canyon City after brush fire

Northbound I-17 partially reopened north of Black Canyon City after a short closure caused by a brush fire on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Northbound Interstate 17 partially reopened north of Black Canyon City after a short closure on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

A brush fire shut the freeway near Sunset Point and the right lane reopened around 20 minutes later, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

It is not known when the left northbound lane of I-17 will reopen.
