Eastbound I-10 reopens near Picacho Peak following overnight closure for crash

Eastbound I-10 was reopened near Picacho Peak on Sunday morning after it closed for a crash on Saturday night, authorities said.

PHOENIX — Eastbound Interstate 10 was reopened near Picacho Peak on Sunday morning after it closed for a crash on Saturday night, authorities said.

The crash between the Valley and Tucson occurred near milepost 219, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The freeway reopened around 6 a.m. after the closure was announced at 8:44 p.m.

Westbound I-10 was not affected by the crash, ADOT said.
