2 stolen semi-trailers recovered, 4 men arrested in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Two stolen semi-trailers were recovered by officers, and four men were arrested on Monday afternoon, the Phoenix Police Department said.

At about 2 p.m., police officers responded to a large semi-trailer being stolen out of a warehouse near 32nd Avenue and Broadway Road.

Officers were later able to recover two semi-trucks driving away with two stolen trailers during separate traffic stops.

One of the stops took place on Interstate 10 near Avondale Boulevard, where one man was arrested.

The other stop took place near 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road, and the driver was also arrested. 

Property detectives have subsequently taken over the investigation.

The suspects arrested were identified later as Randhu Sandhu, Sahil Sahil, Robin Ran Singh and Neeraj Malik.

Westbound I-10 closed near Avondale Boulevard on Monday afternoon for approximately 20 minutes due to the situation, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced.

The eastbound lanes were not affected.
