Scottsdale restaurant tops Yelp Elites list of best places for Mediterranean food in US

An Old Town Scottsdale dining destination has earned national recognition less than a year after opening its doors.

Pinyon Coastal Mediterranean was named the No. 1 Mediterranean restaurant in the United States in Yelp Elites’ guide to the “Top 25 Mediterranean Restaurants Worth the Epic Journey.”

The restaurant, at 7363 E. Scottsdale Mall along Scottsdale Civic Center Park, was the only Arizona establishment featured on the national list.

“This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes from Yelp Elite reviewers, guests who are incredibly passionate about discovering and sharing exceptional dining experiences,” Adam Strecker, CEO and founding partner of Hi Noon Hospitality, said in a news release. “To be recognized … is an incredible honor and a testament to our entire team’s dedication.”

The Yelp Elite ranking relies on feedback, reviews and recommendations from highly engaged members of the review platform’s community to highlight destination-worthy restaurants across the country.
