4 Arizona eateries are on Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants 2026 list

PHOENIX — Calling all Arizona foodies, Yelp recently released its Top 100 U.S. Restaurants 2026 list and four eateries in the Grand Canyon State made the cut.

Three of the Arizona restaurants cooked their way into the top 50: Tucson’s Tumerico at No. 32, Scottsdale’s De Babel at No. 33 and Phoenix’s Corazon De Agave at No. 41.

The final eatery, Phoenix’s Taco Viva, fell just short and ended up at No. 52.

Yelp based its restaurant rankings based on a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews.

Tumerico, located off Tucson Boulevard and Sixth Street, is run by Wendy Garcia, who wears two hats as head chef and owner. The plant-based Latin American restaurant is open Tuesday-Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is not the first accolade the restaurant or Garcia has earned. Tumerico was No. 1 on the same Yelp list in 2024, although it fell out of the top 100 last year.

Additionally, Garcia was a James Beard Awards semifinalist for best Southwest chef in 2023 and 2024. She was also featured as a guest on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” where she made Tumerico’s signature jackfruit carnitas tacos. The restaurant was also visited by Guy Fieri, who proceeded to call his mom to tell her about the eatery.

De Babel is a Middle Eastern restaurant that opened near Pima Road and Raintree Drive in Scottsdale in July 2021. The eatery is open Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This is the fourth year in a row that De Babel has made it onto Yelp’s top 100 list. It also was recognized by the review platform in October 2022 for attaining a perfect five-star rating. The eatery has also been featured in Phoenix Magazine and appeared on “Good Morning America” in January 2024.

Corazon de Agave states on its website that it serves sophisticated Mexican flavors and dishes made with fresh ingredients. Located off 40th Street and Bell Road in north Phoenix, the restaurant is open Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday-Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It opened in 2024 with highlights such as carne asade and fish tacos and specialties like tampiqueña and arroz con leche.

At the intersection of Indian School Road and 28th Street is Taco Viva, another relative newcomer to Phoenix since opening in June 2024. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day except Fridays and Saturdays, when they close an hour later at 10 p.m.

In addition to their namesake dish, Taco Viva boasts mulas, tostadas and specialty cheese fries among the menu items.

“Thank you to our community, our customers and everyone who continues to support and show love,” the restaurant said about the Yelp honor in an Instagram post. “This wouldn’t be possible without you.”
