Chandler’s Pedal Haus Brewery wins silver at the World Beer Cup; Tucson brewery earns gold
Arizona breweries brought home major honors at one of the beer industry's biggest international competitions, with Chandler-based Pedal Haus Brewery winning Silver.

PHOENIX – Arizona breweries brought home major honors at one of the beer industry’s biggest international competitions, with Chandler-based Pedal Haus Brewery winning a silver medal at the 2026 World Beer Cup and Tucson’s Barrio Brewing Co. taking home gold.
Pedal Haus earned silver in the International Light Lager category for its Day Drinker Light Lager. The award was announced during the World Beer Cup ceremony on April 22.
Tucson’s Barrio Brewing Co. won gold in the Brown Porter category for its Nolan’s Porter.
Pedal Haus joins list of other past Arizona brewery winners
Over the years, Four Peaks Brewing Co. in Tempe has collected multiple medals, including gold for its IPA Hop Knot in 2012, Kolsch-style Ale Sunbru in 2012 and Barleywine Hopsquatch in 2006.
In addition, 12 West Brewing in Mesa won gold in 2024 for its Pilsner Zona.
Other metro Phoenix winners have included O.H.S.O. Brewery in Gilbert, Goldwater Brewing in Scottsdale, McFate Brewing Co. in Scottsdale, State 48 Brewery in Phoenix, SanTan Brewing Co. in Chandler and Saddle Mountain Brewing Co. in Goodyear.
What is the World Beer Cup?
The World Beer Cup, organized by the Brewers Association, is widely considered the most prestigious beer and cider competition in the world.
Held annually alongside the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America, the event features more than 100 style categories and is judged by more than 200 beer and cider professionals.
This year’s competition drew thousands of entries from breweries and cideries around the globe.
