Caldwell County BBQ ready to celebrate opening of 1st West Valley location

PHOENIX — Caldwell County BBQ is expanding its business beyond the East Valley, setting up shop in Peoria.

The company will celebrate the grand opening of its first West Valley location with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

It also has locations in Gilbert and Queen Creek.

Peoria Mayor Jason Beck will join the festivities at 8315 W. Washington Street. He said he sees this new restaurant as a major destination for foodies.

“We’re excited to welcome Caldwell County BBQ to Peoria’s historic downtown,” Beck said in an announcement. “This grand opening kicks off the long-awaited revitalization of our downtown area and displays the importance of attracting businesses that invest in our community, create jobs and attract new visitors.”

After the ribbon-cutting, Caldwell County BBQ Peoria will open for meals at 11 a.m. An after-party celebration will follow from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring live music, yard games and inflatables for children.

What’s on the menu at Caldwell County BBQ Peoria?

The new location near Washington Street and 83rd Avenue, south of Grand Avenue, spans 4,800 square feet and will serve Texas-style barbecue, including meats by the pound such as sliced prime brisket.

The space includes a private dining room that can accommodate up to 34 guests for special events, along with bi-fold window doors that open the room to the rest of the restaurant.

The menu also offers pulled pork sandwiches, house-made sausage links and St. Louis-style ribs, as well as sides like corn casserole and lemon poppy seed coleslaw. Guests can even enjoy barbecue-inspired specialty cocktails, including the pecan-smoked maple old fashioned. Dessert options include banana pudding, pecan pie and cookies.

Travis Taylor, the owner of Caldwell County BBQ, said he’s thrilled to share his passion for authentic barbecue with the West Valley.

“From the welcoming atmosphere to the slow-cooked meats, our goal is to make Caldwell County BBQ a true destination for great food and memorable experiences here in the rapidly expanding West Valley,” Taylor said.
