Who is running for Congress in Arizona in 2026? Here’s the list of everyone interested

Most of the incumbents are among the dozens of potential candidates who have expressed interest in running for Congress in Arizona.

PHOENIX — Terms in the U.S. House of Representatives last two years, meaning all nine of Arizona’s seats are up for grabs in the 2026 election.

Dozens of potential candidates have expressed official interest in running for Congress in Arizona, including most of the nine incumbents.

Two current longtime Republican congressman, Reps. Andy Biggs (District 5) and David Schweikert (District 1), are running for governor instead of reelection.

For the first election cycle since 2014, no U.S. Senate seats are up for grabs in Arizona this year. Sen. Mark Kelly’s first six-year term runs through 2028, and Sen. Ruben Gallego is not up for reelection until 2030.

Anybody running for Congress in Arizona must file a statement of interest before circulating nominating petitions. Only the candidates who collect enough valid signatures will appear on the ballot for the July 21 primary elections.
