Incumbent Kris Mayes is running unopposed on the Democratic side, while state Senate President Warren Petersen is the clear favorite among the Republicans who have filed statements of interest for the position.

Anybody running for Arizona attorney general must file with the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office before circulating nominating petitions. Only the candidates who collect enough valid signatures will appear on the ballot for the July 21 primaries.

Big FAT NO on Petersen. Mayes has been fighting the fascists.. I’ll vote for her.
Mayes has:
• Protected federal funds Arizona depends on
• Helped block cuts or elimination of federal programs (AmeriCorps, FEMA resilience funds)
• Pushed back on federal enforcement that impacts Arizona communities
