Worker dies after accident involving forklift at southwest Phoenix business

A worker was killed in an accident involving a forklift in southwest Phoenix on Monday morning, authorities said.

PHOENIX – A worker was killed in an accident involving a forklift in southwest Phoenix on Monday morning, authorities said.

Officers responded to an injury call at a business near 35th Avenue and Durango Street around 10:15 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.

They found a man suffering from critical injuries and initiated life-saving measures until the Phoenix Fire Department arrived and transported him to a hospital.

The worker, whose name was not released, did not survive his injuries.

Police said a non-criminal death investigation is underway.

No other details about the incident were made available.
