1 person hospitalized, suspect charged after shooting at Mesa Target

One person was arrested while another is in critical condition following a shooting inside a Mesa Target store Sunday evening, authorities said.

One person was arrested while another is in critical condition following a shooting inside a Mesa Target store Sunday evening, authorities said.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting just before 8 p.m. at the Target near Power Road and Hampton Avenue, just north of the US 60, according to Mesa police.

The victim had suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital. Mesa police said the victim was in critical but stable condition as of around 11 a.m. Monday.

The suspect fled the area before officers arrived at the scene. Two arrests were made, and one person was later released. The suspect charged was identified as 21-year-old Dylan Stinson.

The store remained closed for the rest of Sunday night following the shooting to allow for investigation.

I believe this shooting was actually at the superstition springs target at power and 60. I drove past when it was swarmed with police and power and Ray was still open when I got there.

all the other reports are stating power and 60 as well.

Target needs to install metal detectors at their entrance and post "No Firearms Allowed".

What wimp feels the need to carry a loaded gun around inside a shopping store where half the customers are children?
