PHOENIX — A suspect was arrested after a chase led him to crashing his car into a west Phoenix home on early Friday morning, authorities said.
Officers attempted to stop the man, who was driving a white SUV, for a speeding violation near 59th Avenue and McDowell Road around 2 a.m., according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The vehicle instead continued on into a nearby neighborhood, temporarily evading the sight of the chasing officers.
The speeding SUV eventually lost control and collided with several vehicles before crashing into a home, police said.
The suspect, whose identity has yet to be released, was taken into custody and was hospitalized for precautionary reasons.
He was set to be booked into jail on Friday afternoon.
Impairment was considered to be a factor in the incident.
