PHOENIX — A Silver Alert for a 28-year-old Phoenix woman with a cognitive delay was canceled Wednesday morning after she was located, authorities said.
Genesis Martinez was taken to a hospital for treatment, the Phoenix Police Department said. No information about the nature of the treatment was made available.
Martinez’s legal guardian was advised she was found, police said.
She had last been seen leaving her family’s residence near 19th Avenue and Greenway Road on Monday.
She has been diagnosed with a cognitive delay and a mental health disability.
Martinez is known to give false names to authorities, does not remember how to return home and has a difficult time communicating, authorities said.
