PHOENIX — A 72-year-old suspect has been arrested for murdering his 73-year-old wife in their Scottsdale home on Friday.
Jozef Miller called police around 5:30 p.m. telling police that he committed the murder on his wife at their home near 77th Way and Balao Drive.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered the body of his wife, Hanna Miller, beaten to death with a hammer.
A further investigation of the murder revealed that the couple had a history of domestic violence in the past and police were able to recover the hammer that was allegedly used to commit the murder for evidence.
Police determined that the murder occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday, nearly 3.5 hours before Jozef Miller called police to report the crime.
