Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Wednesday for a missing man after he was found safely.
The alert, issued Tuesday night, said 32-year-old Dylan Kirby had last been seen around 9 a.m. in the area of Terramar Boulevard and Jomax Road. He left on foot and didn’t return, which was unusual for him, according to the Peoria Police Department.
Sgt. Shelly Montes with Peoria Police said officers with the Phoenix Police Department found Kirby.
“He is back home safe,” she told KTAR News 92.3 FM via email.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental or cognitive disabilities.
