Queen Creek police arrest 24 juveniles during spring break

PHOENIX — Queen Creek police arrested 24 juveniles during the two weeks of spring break, the department announced Friday.

In addition to the arrests, there were more than 50 calls for service related to juvenile disturbances between March 7 and March 22, police said.

According to authorities, incidents ranged from curfew violations and reckless e-bike use to ongoing disruptions and unlawful flight.

Police reminded parents and guardians that the town has a curfew for minors when they are not with their parents. For anyone 15 and under, it is 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. and for those who are 16 and 17, it is midnight to 5 a.m.

There are exceptions for emergencies, permitted travel, work and school, religious or recreational activities. However, police noted there should be no detours.

Authorities also advised parents and guardians they play a key role in not only setting expectations but holding their kids accountable.

Queen Creek police encouraged residents to contact its non-emergency line at 480-358-3500 to report safety concerns, illegal activity or suspicious behavior.
