1-year-old pulled from Phoenix bathtub in extremely critical condition

Firefighters responded to a home near 55th Avenue and Indian School Road after reports of a 1-year-old pulled from a bathtub on Wednesday.

PHOENIX — A 1-year-old is in extremely critical condition after being pulled from a bathtub in Phoenix on Wednesday, according to authorities.

Firefighters responded to the area of 55th Avenue and Indian School Road around 3 p.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Crews found the 1-year-old girl unconscious and not breathing.

Prior to their arrival, CPR had been performed on the girl, authorities said.

The girl who was pulled from a bathtub is currently being brought to a hospital.

The Phoenix Police Department is currently leading the investigation.
