PHOENIX — Two 85-year-olds died from injuries suffered in a north Phoenix car crash on Saturday morning, authorities said.

Officers arrived to the intersection of 15th Avenue and Bell Road shortly before 9:30 a.m. for reports of a crash that left three adults injured.

One vehicle contained two 85-year-olds, identified as Fouad Shawo and Virginia Nathan. Both were taken to a hospital where they died, according to authorities.

The third victim involved, an unidentified adult driving a different vehicle, was hospitalized with injuries that weren’t expected to be life-threatening.
