Multi-vehicle collision in west Phoenix kills 1, sends 3 to hospital

A crash involving two vehicles Saturday evening in west Phoenix killed one person and sent three others to the hospital, according to authorities.

PHOENIX — A crash involving two vehicles Saturday evening in west Phoenix killed one person and sent three others to the hospital, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Van Buren Street and 67th Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters performed extractions on both the vehicles, according to the release.

Three people, all males in their 20s, were transported to the hospital with one in critical condition.

A fourth person, also a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision is being investigated by police, according to the release.
