Mega Millions ticket bought at Scottsdale convenience store wins $40,000

PHOENIX — One lucky person in the Valley won big in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, Arizona Lottery officials announced.

The winning ticket was sold at the Circle K store on the southeast corner of Mountain View and Hayden roads in Scottsdale.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls — 16, 40, 56, 64, 66 — and the gold Mega Ball of 4 to win the prize.

Mega Millions tickets cost $5 each and can be purchased at more than 3,500 locations statewide. They each have a randomly generated multiplier of two, three, four, five or 10 times.

The winning ticket from Scottsdale had a multiplier of four times, which bumped up the $10,000 base prize.

When is the next Mega Millions drawing?

Mega Millions is a multistate game of chance with drawings on Tuesday and Friday nights.

No one won the jackpot on Tuesday, meaning Friday’s drawing will be for an estimated $230 million.

If a ticket matches all five white balls and the Mega Ball, it will be the first time in 2026 that the top Mega Millions prize will have been won.

There were six jackpot wins in 2025, including one worth $112 million on a ticket sold in Tempe.
