PHOENIX — Someone in the Valley woke up a winner after Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing, according to the Arizona Lottery.
The lucky ticket worth $40,000 was sold at the Safeway at Hayden and Chaparral roads in Scottsdale.
It matched four of the five white balls — 4, 11, 18, 38 and 50 — plus the gold Mega Ball 24, producing a base prize amount of $10,000.
The actual payout was higher because all Mega Millions entries, which cost $5 each, automatically include a randomly generated multiplier of two, three, four, five or 10 times for all prizes other than jackpots.
When is the next Mega Millions drawing?
Mega Millions drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday night.
If a ticket hits all five white balls and the Mega Ball, it would be the first jackpot win of 2026. Last year saw six jackpot winners, including a $112 million ticket sold in Tempe.
The next drawing is Friday, with an estimated jackpot of $50 million.
