Body pulled out of Lake Pleasant matches description of missing man

PHOENIX – A body pulled out of Lake Pleasant over the weekend matches the description of a man reported missing last month, authorities announced Wednesday.

Glen Alan Keer, 62, hasn’t been heard from since he went to Lake Pleasant Regional Park on Feb. 26, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

MCSO searched the area above and below the water, with cadaver dogs and helicopters contributing to the effort.

On Saturday afternoon, MCSO received reports of a body in the Jackass Cove area of the lake in Peoria.

Deputies responded to the scene and located a man floating face down near the shoreline.

Why do authorities think Lake Pleasant body could be missing man?

The remains could not be identified because of heavy decomposition. However, MCSO said the body was the same height, weight and demographic as Keer.

The Maricopa County Examiner’s Office is working to provide a positive identification.
