Joint operation across Valley nets arrests for 30 child sex crimes suspects

PHOENIX — Valley authorities arrested 30 suspects accused of child sex crimes during a joint operation throughout the month of October.

Agencies involved in Operation “Deja Boo” targeted individuals involved in child sex trafficking and those intent on luring minors for sexual exploitation, according to a press release from the Mesa Police Department.

Police departments from Mesa, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler participated in the operation, as well as the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.

Eleven arrests were made in Phoenix, eight were arrested in Scottsdale, seven in Mesa, and two in both Chandler and Tempe.
