House fire in Phoenix leaves 1 woman dead
A woman has died following a house fire in Phoenix on Friday night, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A woman has died following a house fire in Phoenix on Friday night, authorities said.
Around 9 p.m., firefighters responded to a call near 35th Street and Cactus Road, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and fire at the house.
Authorities said as firefighters went into the house to put out the fire, they found a woman inside with injuries and carried her out of the house.
The woman could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead on scene.
Authorities said firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread. No one else was inside the home at the time of fire.
The cause of the fire is not known and is under investigation.
