Glendale police locate truck involved in crash that killed teen, injured 3 others

PHOENIX — Glendale police announced Thursday the truck involved in a crash that left one teen dead last week has been found.
Media reports publicizing the search for the truck led to detectives finding it, police said.
An investigation into who was driving the truck at the time of the crash is ongoing.
The crash happened near 53rd and Grand avenues on May 25 around 7 p.m., the Glendale Police Department said.
A sedan carrying four passengers was driving on Grand Avenue when it tried avoiding a collision with a truck and spun out of control, police said.
A 15-year-old was killed in the collision, and three others were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
After looking at video footage, detectives said they were searching for a white, lifted Chevrolet extended cab pickup with black wheels, a black toolbox in the bed and possibly an American flag decal in the rear window.
The pickup was expected to have front-end damage from the crash.
